Bought this for my Eluktronics Mech-15. The chicony charger which I originally received with the laptop after a couple years started to fail and caused my laptop to get coil whine whenever plugged in, and occasional freezing, slow charging, and also would be charging on/off. This replacement completely fixed those issues, my laptop is silent now.Eluktronics support diagnosed the issue as either a failing DC charging port, or the power brick. Turned out to be the power brick.But I will say, my original Chicony I got with my laptop seems a little bit different, not sure if its because the chargers from a couple years ago are different or if because this one isnt genuine. The original charger when you knock on it, it isnt hollow sounding. When you knock on this one, it has a hollow sound, and is much, much lighter weight than the original. It also seems to feel cooler and less hot than the original when charging. But it does have the Chicony stickers, and it appears to work perfect as of right now and did solve my issues from the previous failing brick. Beats spending over $100 to buy it directly from Eluktronics. So I am happy, for now....

bot this 230W charger as a replacement for my original one. I was a bit skeptical at first, but this power adapter works flawlessly. It charges my laptop quickly even during gaming sessions, and it doesn’t overheat. The build quality feels solid, and the cable length is generous. this one is definitely worth it. Great value for the price
