One of my relatives lost the latches that fell off one of my power tool cases and I have been trying to find something to replace them with for years. I think this is the product I've been looking for.One useful feature: the latches can be bent with a bit of effort. The case these will be installed on is oddly shaped and these can be bent to fit as necessary.Unfortunately the tool case is buried somewhere unknown. First off, these are not heavy duty, but I didn't expect them to be for the size. I got them thinking I might use them to hold together my roller workbench to my stationary workbench, but I don't think they have the gripping power to handle that. I've got some other uses in the shop that they'll work on though (door catches, garden gate, etc. I don't know how long they'd last outside since they're not coated or galvinized, but may try something silly with them. If you need a light or medium duty catch or clasp, this will do the trick for you, though.
