I used it for a day, but when I opened the photo album the next day, it suddenly stopped working. I tried DFU mode several times, but I couldn’t flash the system. I’m currently in the process of returning it.

It lasted a few days, maybe a week and now my Mac Mini M4 won't boot even to the original drive. I'm going to take into Apple for repair to see what is what but at the moment - I believe this device killed my Mini.

pros:- price- easy replace and install on a mac mini 4- quick delivery- huge storage upgrade, 2gb !!!- no need to download the ipsw file-faster than the oem ssd drive: oem w/r: 2100,2300 mpbs, new: 3300,2900 mbpscons:- durability?after searching for a recent ssd upgrade for my mac mini 4, amazon came up to forefront to delivery times (11 days delivered) compared to drives coming from the sellers from asia). some websites were estimating by early march and at a higher price point. after completing the install which is fairly easy, tested the speed and it was even faster than the original ssd drive (see images). satisfied with this purchase. the only question was will this drive last longer, that is question answered in a probable later review. this might also apply for the pro version.

With apologies to the vendor for having started a return, this is to confirm that the 2TB SSD for the Mini M4 *standard* (NOT the PRO!) works as expected: after installing and getting errors in the DFU restoration process, I was going to return it and when I went back to uninstall it for the return, I decided to give it another try and pushed the drive in the mount a bit more than the gentle way I did it at first. THAT did the trick: being afraid to force anything or push too hard, apparently I didn’t push hard enough to seat the drive properly into the mount. Also as one can see from the picture showing the stock SSD 256GB in the mount, the T8 screw and the guiding hole are a bit misaligned by the factory. I had since restored the firmware, installed the OS and I transferred large instrument library files (1TB+) without a glitch. As of now I have no reason to believe there are any issues with the drive but should it fail over the longer run I will update this review.

Up and running in less than an hour. Used Mac Book Air to update, worked like it was designed to.
