It's sturdy and durable but it also weighs more than any other camping chair I've ever owned.

When I decided to buy a camping chair I was thinking of something that would be comfortable to carry. This chair, although sturdy, is quite heavy. This does not make it as portable as one would wish. I bought it to take to outdoor activities but its weight is not comfortable to carry for long periods of time. Its construction and quality is excellent. But if you are looking for something comfortable and light, I recommend the Coleman chair.

We like the two ALPS Mountaineering chairs and will use them in seasonally-permanent locations. They are nicely designed, quite sturdy and comfortable. Moving them frequently is not in the cards for us as they are big and heavy so bringing them to watch grands play baseball or soccer would be quite tedious. Also, folding and fitting them back in the bags is a challenge. Our older and lighter chairs will fill the bill for travel circumstances.

Strong chair structure. Folds up and unpacks super easily. As advertised, can hold lots of weight - I’m 6’2’’ and can easily relax in and quickly exit the chair. Get lots of compliments, and everyone always like sitting in the twin companion chair I purchased with it. High quality fabric that is durable and comfortable to sit on for long stretches outside. Excellent for backyards, sports events, picnics, or live music events. Convenient pockets for drinks and cell phone.

when making this purchase I was expecting to likely be dissapointed. I was wrong. this is a VERY NICELY made product. slightly larger than a typical camp chair, but REALLY well made. very sturdy. nice assortment of pockets, engineered for strength, and made of extra thick, comfortable materials. its actually a bargain at this price.
