First impression is that the sizing does run small, so consider ordering a size up or two, specially if you intend to use this for cosplay and want the look to be a bit baggy. I washed the shirt in a gentle cycle prior to use, and the seams came undone around the underarm area. I had to mend it myself. They did not give any extra material at the seams. The material seems to be a blend of sorts: I am still unsure if it is indeed cotton/linen blend (as it says on the sewn-in-label), but it was comfortable for an all day wear in 80 degrees weather. If you want an affordable shirt for a costume (not everyday use), this will do.

Needed a Prince Eric (Little Mermaid) costume. Loved it so much, wore it out to dinner one night! Not the softest material; but tolerable.

My husband loves these style shirts and I love getting them for him to wear, blame it on studying a lot of European medieval history. Now I know, this is not really period appropriate, so don't expect to impress anyone who studies historical costuming, but it has the right 'look' to pass for a Ren Faire garment, and more importantly it just looks cool to wear whenever. The material is soft, it is cotton that is trying to go for that linen feel so it is a little rougher, but not as much so as actual linen. The color is really nice, the green has a grayish tone, I think you could pass it off as a color that would have been used back in the day (I do study historical dyeing and pigment uses, you could get this with a mix of indigo and weld on an unbleached linen or wool) The fit is spectacular, I was worried it would be too small when I pulled it out of the box, but it fit his shoulders perfectly. I really liked the extra added lacing at the side of the shirt and not just at the collar.

This Heyigrow Mens Shirts Pirate Costume, Long Sleeve Shirt is nice quality, with pretty heavy seeming fabric. It's actually better than I was expecting. The laces and grommets seem fine and look really cool. The fabric does not stretch at all, so it was much harder to put on and take off than a t-shirt or something, especially since I found it to be a little smaller than it should be for the size stated. Especially the body length, since I didn't have to move much before my belly was exposed, which, being tall, is certainly not an unheard of problem for me. Still, see other shirts by this company say to order one size up, and I wish this shirt had said the same thing, since I would like this shirt greatly if it was just a little larger.
