I run a manufacturing and upholstery company. We cut out hundreds of the same item, and these works awesome. Super sharp, easy to follow the line. Can cut out 9 layers or so of vinyl at once. Perfect cut. We have a few of these. A+

Here's my review after owning it for over a year. I primarily use it for making tarps and doing vinyl work, as for the unit itself absolutely flawless and cuts through everything just like butter it's absolutely 100% amazing in fact today I was cutting thin foam and I can't even explain how easily it just slides right through it. Now for the downside, the unit is definitely very heavy so if you're older this may not be for you. The base where the material slides up through into the blade can be at times a little awkward because of the way it sits up higher than the tabletop and it takes a little bit to get used to. Your best way to use it is to slide it around to do the cutting I've tried to use it before and a stationary position and running the material through the cutter however there's two set down sides to this, one is that you can't permanently mount it so as a tendency of sliding around and two you just cannot seem to control the cut as well as if you're pushing the unit itself. One of the other downsides is that if you're looking for a very accurate cut this may not be for you it cuts so well that you just cannot control it enough to get a perfectly straight cut, And by what I mean is that yes you can cut a straight line however you're not going to get it razor straight it cuts any type of angle any type of shape with absolutely no issues thickness is again not a problem however you're never going to get it dead on you'll get it very close but you'll never have it dead on and you're better off cutting out an eighth or so and then coming back and trimming with scissors. With that being said I normally do a rough cut and then if I have to I come back and trim it up but with the type of stuff I do it's usually good enough. There's no doubt in my mind that this thing will last me for many many years to come it's extremely well-constructed and heavy-duty would I purchase it again for the price Yes however if you're just doing normal sewing I don't know if this would actually be for you it's more on the commercial end use.
