Great for holding tons of small stuff, it is lightweight, very breathable, and lots of pockets. The zipper works well. Since the pockets are secured by fasteners and zippers, it is amusement park ride friendly. Nothing is going to fly out of these pockets while riding that roller coaster. *Please note that some amusement parks (looking at you, Universal Hulk Coaster) will not allow anything but empty pockets on their roller coasters, including the pockets on this jacket. Other parks may have similar restrictions.

Get one size larger than you normally would. The one I ordered barely fit over my T-Shirt but too snug for a Fall or Winter thickness shirt.The zippers are not heavy duty but work. Also, the zipper pull is on the left side- maybe for those that suffer from Dyslexia.Lot's of usable pocket space!

I bought this not for fishing but as a safty vest becauseof the many pockets on it. I bought the safty reflection belt separately.Only con - the zipper is on wrong side

I originally gave this a 5-star review; but an issue has come up that you should know before you buy. The vest is starting to sprout loose threads - mainly around some zippers and some pocket attachment seams to the vest. I have not attempted to wash the vest, and it hasn't been in any rain. It HAS carried several tackle trays and tools. If one of the seams opens up, I will come back and take away another star or two. In the meantime, still a strong 4.Although I am a nature photographer, I would not use this vest for photo shoots in the Florida wetlands. I have a good cross-body bag that is perfect for that job.But this vest is great for fishing! And in particular, for combined hiking and fishing. I am able to carry a full tackle-box worth of lures, spinners, hardware and whatnot in the various pockets - as well as reading glasses, a 7' collapsible pole (reduces down to 18" long), two reels, multi-tool pliers, my cell phone, wallet, water bottle and fishing towels. Still have room left over for a poncho, etc. in the back pocket.With all that gear stowed, the vest gets kinda heavy - but MUCH lighter and easier to carry than a tackle box! And although it is hotter than just a dry star shirt and a cross body bag - it is not all that much worse.For the next revision, I would recommend adding some D-rings that could be used with carabiners to attach tools, water bottles or whatever. And make that left side chest pocket big enough to hold a cell phone. Please work on the zipper and pocket sewing; and make the velcro backing so it is less sharp and abrasive - it hurts to wear the vest without a shirt.But for all that, BRAVO! Due to the thread issues, I give it 4 stars. But so long as it holds together, it will be my fishing companion.
