I only need reading glasses for anything closer than 3 feet which means I'm OK when setting up a shot or viewing thru the viewfinder but when comes to seeing the menus or setting the buttons, levers or dials on the camera...Glasses get hung up or fall out of pockets. These retainer makes taking pictures less complicated.

My previous glasses holder broke after 3 years. Most on the market now are wire-based material. This was just what I needed. The delivery was delayed one day, but that was not an issue with the seller, but more USPS in my area.

These Chums are my favorite retainers ever! I love that they just slip onto the ends of the ear pieces. Unlike those rubber-bandy things that go way up on the sides of eyeglass ear pieces, these are way more understated and unobtrusive! These go on pretty easily, once they're on they stay on. I couldn't care less about the tips being fish shaped, but that certainly isn't a detriment either. To get away from the type of rubber-band retainers that go way up on the earpiece I ended up ordering these, as well as a pair of the Gripz brand retainers to try. I like these Chums a lot better, basically because the Gripz brand pulled at my hair too much when taking my glasses on and off. These 'Chums' are definitely going to work well for me. If I ever loose them, I won't hesitate to buy more!

I had cheaper retainers that slipped off. Stupidly I put the retainers on again, more firmly. A couple of weeks later, I found that the retainer had slipped off again---sometime and somewhere unknown. I had no idea of where the $450 prescription glasses might have come off. A week later I found them inside my property. I don't care about the fish, but I do care that these retainers HOLD SECURELY. If you are using cheap drug store reading glasses go ahead and use any retainer. But if you're using a retainer for expensive glasses then I suggest that you pay the few extra dollars to be sure.

I originally had a Croakies retainer on my ONO's sunglasses but never liked it because it was quite thick and stiff. Always resting on my collar or sticking out to hit the headrest. I saw these and read the reviews. I tried to figure what 3mm actually was beyond the conversion to inches. It is about the thickness of a nickel. Anyway these retainers go on tight but you want that and a bit of saliva helps. They lie flat and are just what I was looking for. I would highly recommend!!
