These COOLOGIN rubber hood latches are slightly larger than the majority of similar products I have seen. The rubber is quite solid and does not stretch easily, ensuring that these latches will stay in place. The stainless steel brackets as well as the screw and nut are high quality and non-magnetic. The brackets are .073 thousandths of an inch thick with .162 mounting holes pre-drilled into the brackets. These are great for safely holding down hoods, trunk lids and body panels on race cars or for keeping motor covers closed on boats. They will work anywhere a flexible joint is needed to fasten something down or hold it in place. My only issue is that it takes quite a bit of force to stretch the rubber onto the metal latch. By twisting it slightly, it slides into place much more easily. I definitely recommend these.

I have used these kinds of latches on race cars and have been very happy with how well they stood up to being used a lot while being exposed to various liquids and chemicals. I have also used them on my tractor and used them on some storage cabinets where they were honestly a bit of overkill...more than I needed for the job.These latches are easy to install and to use and if set up properly with a bit of tension on them when closed work really well. They seem to be well made and the rubber, latching part seems quite strong. I think these are a good value and am happy with them.

Needed something to keep main panel on ac unit in attic closed. This worked very well and tight. No longer have to use tape anymore.

The latches on my Kolpin box for the back of my ATV broke and used these as a replacement. They fit well and work as advertised.

I used these to secure a project of mine that requires a lot of tension to keep together. They didn't disappoint. One thing to note is that they don't come with any screws or bolts, you have to supply your own to match your application. They are really heavy duty, and really easy to install. I set them up for the trap to be 1/8" from relaxed state of the T-handle and I have to put some serious force on them to attach and release. I really like the feel and size of the T-handle grip. It's well cast, comfortable in my hand, and asked me to ever a lot of force without worrying about losing my grip or hurting my hand. Works very well.
