I was lucky to find Dewalt corded drill so very balanced which will make it easy to use. The balance in my hand is very important to me, because that creates the function of making this tool be able to be accurately used without getting klutzy with the work performance. I also did not want to deal with problem of needing to charge up a drill just to use it. I think the portable drills requiring their own charger make those drills heavy and klutzy and off-balance. I would not have purchased a portable drill if that was the only option because I don't need to have it slipping from me out of balance as an extension of my hand. So I am in love with this drill.

I had previously ordered a drill (4amp rated) but found it was not powerful enough to do the work I intended so I returned and got this one with 8 amps. Found it just right - enough power without wrenching my wrists. If you have a job that needs a bit more power this is the one to get.

This DEWALT drill is a workhorse! It's got plenty of power for most home projects, and the variable speed trigger gives you good control. I really appreciate the mid-handle grip – it's comfortable to hold and makes it easy to maneuver. It's a bit bulky, but it feels sturdy and well-made. Overall, a great value for the price.

I was looking for corded drill that I can use as screw driver as well, and ended up with this one. It is of good quality, powerful, the only concern was if it is useful as screw driver, there are some reviews about button usage not being smooth enough on initial low speed, but I didn't find any issue, it is well controlled on initial pressure with low speed to drive screw in. So, if you are looking for well priced/value corded drill with second purpose as screw driver, it is a good option to consider.

I had a Makita drill for over 10 years and was looking to replace it with one that has similar power and versatility. After doing a lot of research I settled on the De Walt SWS115K and it definitely didn't disappoint. I used it to build my deck and it had great power, the drill did all the work, its easy to handle and the cord is long. This is an awesome drill and the price is good too.
