I've worn the classic double knee Dickies for years and these are by far the better product. Dickies quality is top notch and will stand the test of time. These are light weight, cool and the best part, the 13 inch are the perfect length for me. The one thing to keep in mind, these fit closer to true size vs all other dickies you need to buy 1-2 sizes bigger. For example, in the double knee, i have to buy 38". I have these in 36 and 38 and all require a tight belt. My next pair will be 34.

These are very comfortable and lightweight. Have held up so far to running and hiking. but that fifth pocket is kind of useless if you have something in your right front pocket. Love the colors that is comes in perfect for work or just going out.

My husband has been looking for a very specific pair of shorts made by Dickies for quite some time and couldn’t find them. I have a feeling they don’t make them anymore.They’re plaid and come in a variety of colors. He liked them for the pockets and comfort. But the ones he had wet too big and starting to fall apart.I found these and suggested them and since Amazon has the try before you buy I told him to do it that way. If he didn’t like them we can just return them and it’s not a big deal.The first pair he got was the wrong size, so he got a size smaller. But he knows if he goes smaller they’ll be way too small. Cause he says they don’t quite fit exactly to what you would call “to size”.He does like the fit tho with what he has. Size 32, and the inseam is fine. He also says the fabric is comfortable and is great in replacement for the other pair he’s been searching for. He likes the pockets for his wallet and keys. So overall I think they work well we ended up buying 2 more pairs. And he wants 1 more in a different color.He has 1 in brown, navy and black. So he’ll pick out another pair in a different color.
