I live in a big loft and I have clamp spotlights everywhere, so I decided to replace them with these nice vintage style sockets. I used a heavy gauge black lamp cord and they look great.

This socket is great for the price. The material is good enough for most of the use. The screws and the grip are neat.However, if you're using any wires that are bigger than 16awg, the crimp / nibble at the top may not fit.

These bulb holders are just fine. No worse than any other bulb socket on the market. That are UL approved which is excellent. I have an old metal industrial shades I put them in. I just used silicon adhesive to hold the bulb socket in the metal lamp shade. Took a little effort to get the socket straight but got it done and let the silicon adhesive cure overnight.I used silicon adhesive because if there was a mistake or it needed to be changed you can cut the socket our of the silicon with a knife. If you use any type of construction adhesive, it will be a big job to get the socket out and your chances of ruining the lamp or lampshade will be great.Some people complained about missing screws, but two addition screws were in the plastic bag. They must not have been careful when they opened the bag.You just might need to be creative when you have an old or odd lamp you put the sockets in.

I used these to create a custom hanging light for our family room. Very easy to wire up. They have a nice modern look to them compared to many of the others that are out there.
