I bought these for wind spinners and they work perfect.

These are clearly not snap swivels, and as such they are not as easy or quick to connect and disconnect. But they also cannot fail the way a snap swivel can. As the advertising photos show, you will need tools to spread the split rings for attachment and detachment.I am always on the lookout for sturdy swivels, not for fishing but for model rocketry. Swivels are needed to minimize twisting of parachutes and recovery harnesses. But rockets can undergo some hefty stresses, thus the need for strength. Even though attaching parachutes and harnesses will be a bit more of a challenge with these split ring style swivels, there is virtually no way these swivels will pull through and separate like a snap can.So if you're looking for strength and security beyond what a snap swivel can provide, do give these a look.

These are well made stainless steel ball bearing snap swivels. The problem with these snaps is that attaching a lure to the snap is difficult at best. Tha snaps are virtually impossible to open without help from a screwdriver or pliers. They may be harder to break than regular snaps but the effort to open them negates any advantage.Damon M. Tatem

Don't buy these if you expect to change out your lures/baits quickly. I tried to put a lure on one and after 20 minutes I was so frustrated I gave up!! It is a good concept but poor design/engineering, just another gimmick to get the buyer to fall for.
