Atención:
1. Coloca la fuente bajo la luz solar sin obstáculos cuando la uses. Evita que la fuente se bloquee de las sombras y no pueda funcionar correctamente.
2. Cuando utilices la fuente solar por primera vez, vierte la fuente en el agua para expulsar el aire.
3. La bomba de agua debe sumergirse completamente en el agua y no se puede deshidratar durante mucho tiempo. Debido a que habrá aire cuando la bomba se sumerga en agua, se recomienda esperar a que la bomba de agua rocíe normalmente antes de insertar la boquilla.
4. Mantén el agua limpia y limpia periódicamente la bomba, evita que la bomba succione materias extrañas y hace que la bomba no pueda funcionar correctamente.

I purchased a couple of these just to use in my dog's pool last summer to keep the water moving to avoid mosquitos. They worked for what I needed at the time. I didn't really pay attention to where I threw it when putting the pool away. Many months later I was in my backyard and heard a strange buzzing. This little fountain was still working after being out of the water, tossed around in leaves, covered in snow, etc for at least the past six months. I was expecting to have to purchase another one next summer, but this one is still kicking!

I ordered this a couple of weeks ago but waited until after our insanely stormy May passed. I built a whole adorable flower / fountain planter for this. I set it up this morning and it kind of sputtered for a couple of hours, the spray only ever reaching a few inches tall (see photography). I thought it was because the morning light wasn't strong enough. I couldn't wait to see it in action in full sun but now the fountain has been in full sun for hours and it hasn't done a thing. It doesn't work at all! You can see in the photo it's just sitting there despite having full sun. What a fail.

Wow, this is the best $12 bucks I've spent on Amazon. With a barrel from the garden store I made an adorable fountain using this solar pump. It really shoots up high, too! Makes such a nice splashing sound and adds a ton of charm to my garden. We originally bought to use in the birdbath - well *be warned*, it shoots water so high it will drain your birdbath in an hour. So I bought the barrel and it's perfect. You MUST put in a place with a lot of sunlight or it will not work - so no shady areas. Even a cloud passing over the sun will make it stop pumping. But if you're in a sunny place this thing is great. I bought two and am going to make another barrel fountain in my backyard!

This item is still working, 3 weeks after putting it in water. Yes, it needs strong, full sun. It will turn off at the slightest shadow. I got it to put in a birdbath, but the standard size birdbath is too small for it. It takes up almost the entire space, and to keep it in the middle you attach straws to the sides. This seems to scare the birds out of even drinking from the space. And since my birdbath is mainly for bathing, it was not appropriate. With the nozzles installed (any of them), this item sprays too high. It takes all the water out of the birdbath in short order. However, it would be a superior item in a pond with full sunlight, so I can't rate it anything but right in the middle, which isn't that helpful! It does clog too. I had it in a ground station bath with mulch all around the sides, and some of the mulch got in to the bath, and hence in to the fountain. Make sure you remove it periodically and keep any stray gunk from clogging the motor part. It's not low maintenance.

I loved the idea of a solar fountain. And as long as the sun is out & bright, it works great. However, it only works if the sun is directly on it full force. If a cloud barely passes, it stops. If the container you put it in cast too much of a shadow, it stops. I ended up putting it in a very shallow bird bath just so it would work more. I couldn't put any of the different spouts on it in the bird bath, because they all shoot the water out ridiculously high & out. Basically, great for a bird bath with no spouts, or possibly a small pond if you want to use the spouts, as long as both get direct sun.
