I have settled on these bags after trying several different brands. I keep a compost bin on my counter, but only need to take out the compost every few days. These bags seem a little bit thicker and they maintain their durability against moisture well. Most of the time, the bag holds up just fine. If I put something in it with high moisture, like watermelon, I need to compost fairly quickly to avoid the bag breaking down. That's fine as I expect it. It's rare, that the bag breaks through the bottom and in those situations, I should've known to take it out earlier.I'm happy with these bags.

I do like that these bags are compostable and they are pretty sturdy for a compostable bag. The only downside is that they will sometimes tear if stretched a little bit, as I have to stretch them to fit my trash can. However, the overall quality is great and they work for what I need them for. Note: they will start to break down if something wet is placed at the bottom and sits there for a few days.

I initially bought these to use to clean out the catbox. After the bag ripping several times and getting cat sh*t everywhere, I realized that was not the best use. Honestly the litter is just too heavy for these. However, I started using them in my bathroom trashcan and they work great! I wish I could find an affordable alternative to my plastic kitchen trash bags, but hey, one step at a time. The rolls seem to last forever. I use maybe one bag every week or two. Our bathroom trash is standard bathroom trash, but these are big and sturdy enough to handle that. And they keep everything concealed once they are tied up. I like that they are biodegradable. I think these would also be great for throwing out dog crap. But for cats, the clumps of litter are just too heavy. It says they are compostable so these would work great in a bin for throwing out fruit/veggie scraps (if you compost.) It's a small step, but I've been using these for years and it's just one less plastic bag in the trash each time I fill one up and throw it out :)
