I've been a cup user for almost ten years but I've never done the period panty thing. I'm just starting back on periods again after having a baby and my cycle is kind of crazy unpredictable periods right now. I don't really enjoy using the cup when it's just starting or ending and there's hardly anything there but enough to ruin my clothes so I decided to try these out. I love them so much! They are so comfy! I'm glad I read the reviews and sized one size up and they are perfect. My only thing is the seams on the backside are kind of annoying and they do show through some clothing but they're probably part of the functionality so I'll give it a pass. These are so much more affordable than many of the other brands out there. I don't know that they would work for heavy periods but if you're like me and just need a little insurance at the beginning and end of your period these are definitely worth it!

I wear an 8 or 10 in pants.. I am 5’1: 138 lbs. I ordered size 8 (extra large) because I wanted them to fit loosley for nightware. (Sometimes I leak a little in the middle of the night as I rush to the bathroom). I usually wear a size 6 or 7 in regular panties. Even though I “sized up” to an 8, , they fit like a normal panty in size 7. They are in the washing machine now, so I hope they don’t shrink. They feel very comfortable pre-washed.

I usually wear knix, but needed something for a trip (more bladder control than menstrual issues at my age) and Amazon could get this to me me faster. So I'm comparing these to knix which cost $20-40 a pair but are they excellent quality and last wash after wash with weekly wear for 2-3 years. These Hanes have a nice fit, like any underwear of this nature, the first time you put them on they feel weird, but after you're used to it, they wear great. No one can tell you're wearing anything different. So far I'm happy with how dry and effective they are (again I wear these when I don't have access to a restroom for hours at a time at work or on road trips). I got the light protection which is a little thicker than knix. I was disappointed I ordered the assorted 3 pack but got a 3 Pack of all black. I wear a lot of white or light clothing so this limits their usefulness for me personally. Since I got three pair for less than the cost of one pair of knix... It's a good deal if they last at least a year. Four stars because it was difficult to find my size, style, and colors of choice so I settled for what was available so I'll still order my knix, but if these hold up well, then I'll keep looking for what I want and try again.To Hanes... Study knix marketing because they get it, we want to feel like we're moving dels no matter what instead of awkward teenagers who only wear black clothes for fear of accidents or lack of confidence.

These provide light to moderate protection for any one experiencing heavy flow or PCOS type periods (I have friends with regular cycles that say they provide full protection). I use them to make sure I don't mess up the back of my work pants or jeans which is inevitable with my health issues. What I'm not too happy about is:1. These were supposed to be Boyshort, but the briefs arrived. I needed them for a trip, so I kept them, but the briefs fit funny.2. I ordered one size up, but they are very constricting in the legs when compared to other protection underwear.3. Despite ordering a size up, these were tight in the waist, which would be okay if they also didn't roll down. I was attending an event as an artist and vendor and kept having to excuse myself to roll them back up because it was getting uncomfortable against my tummy. I figured it was bloating and then ordered a size 10. These were MORE prone to rolling along the waist band because they were simply not the right size for me. However, if I had to wear them to meet a client or stand around for a presentation or talk, they worked just fine. But if your job requires repetitive bending over or squatting, they are gonna roll.4. They are smooth fitting in the back and you have NPL, but that's canceled out with the awkward waistline

Got a set to see if they were worth the investment. I wore them for three days - one of which was a somewhat light to moderate flow day where I drove nearly 5 hours, took an hour long train ride, then went to a concert and danced for almost 3 hours, took an hour long train ride home and then slept in them - and I had no leaks. Underwear itself is comfortable and stretchy, they didn’t roll at the waist band and the leg openings didn’t roll either. I never had to adjust. And they didn’t cut into my skin or constrict in any way. The “pad” is a little weird feeling at first if you’re not used to wearing pads, but not too noticeable after a while. I didn’t notice a smell and I felt dry the whole time. Overall, for the price, they’re a good, sustainable option and I have no complaints! Would definitely recommend for a light to moderate day or as a back up for a tampon or cup on a heavy day just for peace of mind.
