This one has worked great for us!! It heats water to 212° in less than 10 minutes and maintained it for at least 1 hour

This is a case of RTFD: "READ THE FREAKING DIRECTIONS" especially page 7. See attached. The kettle worked great, however if you are used to using an open top kettle at home this appliance is essentially a mini-pressure cooker. The first time I used it I boiled water and immediately tried to open the cap. MISTAKE. Flash steam/scald. I did skim the instructions and noted that the kettle has a "vented cap", but failed to observe that there are two (2) caps: 1) An outer measuring/drinking cap, and 2) A vented pressure cap. See attached. There is a "BOLD" face instruction that tells the user to wait 2-3 minutes after heating to 212 degrees F. Lesson learned. The kettle performed as expected after the initial mistake. Recommend that the manufacturer add a page in the instructions with a picture identifying all of the kettle components.
