Very disappointed in this filter, wast of money, can’t even run it for 12 hrs before the half centimeter filter is plugged and you have to tear it apart and clean whole thing just to get the bubbler working not to mention it’s loud as hell. Iv never gotten a hole days worth out it without having to tear apart and clean to get it to work properly

Had a nasty algae bloom in my 55 gallon tank. You could see the algae swirl and shimmer in the water and couldnt see the back of the tank (its 12 inches wide). Put this puppy in on tuesday and by friday the water was crystal clear! This will become a staple in any of my tanks. The added sponge filtration makes me confident having my surface area in my tank. Being able to shut down the uv means i can use it solely as a second filter and pump for circulation but have it ready in case if another bloom. Loving hygger products and looking forward to trying more!*update* so one thimg you need to be aware of. There is a hole on the side ofnthe tube that i assume is so you can see if the uv lamp is on. Umfortunately theres no screen or winow and ive lost 2 smaller fish (one of my otos and a dwarf gourami) that got sucked into it and couldnt ger free. Best thing to do with it out tge box is to disassemble it and push the sponge all the way till it blocks the hole. Im gonna use some aquarium safe glue to add a coarse screen. Hopefully someone fron hygerr will see this and add a clear window or screen to that hole to prevent anybody else from losing fish. Ill be sending them an email suggesting a minor redesign. Incase ypure wondering, there is plenty of foamed and screened opening in the bottom of the tube to draw water through.

Not terrible for how cheap it is but certainly not suitable for a 120g tank and I’d argue it’s barely suitable for a 60. Very very little water flow and I’ve noticed occasionally after turning the pump off for a moment and back on the pump gets extremely noisy until you unplug it and plug it back in. Has not made any noticeable difference in my tank for algae or clearing up the water either but I didn’t have many issues with those to begin with. I’d say it’s worth it when it’s on sale but otherwise I’d save money and get a nicer one.

This cleared my tank wonderfully! I had to do a 75%water change and then added new water and this pump. When I went to bed the water was still really green. Woke up to clearer water. After 2 days, the water was crystal clear! Just hope it keeps working!

cleared up the water quality overnight better than described, fantastic value and easy to use, works exacly as described
