Bought this stand to use with a Makita Planer. Perfect size and heavy duty. Easy to assemble and will definitely purchase another one. Make sure you get good casters because this stand is heavy once it is assembled. Kreg makes great products. Just take your time with assembly and you will be happy with your purchase.

This stand is almost as sturdy as my welded together shop stands. I say "almost" because I know that a welded stand has to be more sturdy. But you really can't tell the difference. Some reviews had said the packaging was not good and arrived busted open so fasteners and parts were missing. Mine arrived in a very sturdy box with the ends and corners taped over. All part were contained inside and all fasteners were in plastic bags (maybe the manufacture was listening). Also, after assembling the stand I decided I wanted the Kreg caster kit that is made for it. The caster kit is excellent, very strong and when you lock the wheels they not only lock the wheels rolling but also lock the wheel assembly from rotating on the mounting stud. This double locking feature makes the stand remain as solid on the casters as it was on the fixed feet. I highly recommend this stand.

I bought this set for my BB CX601 milling machine (machine manual say 240kg/529lbs). At the maximum high of the stand, the stability was absolute great and way better than I expected. My modifications.... (still in process)To make sure to get the maximal possible stability, I ordered an additional set of 20" and 28" rails (4 each are in a set). The upper set is maybe unless, but there are the already holes in, so I used it.The lower, more important set, direkt at the lowest point of legs is need to fit in and to drill holes (not done at the photo) for the screws, because kreg didn't plan anybody do it at this way.Anyway.... Next I want to mount 2 shelfs and sidewalls with 3/4" plywood. Maybe doors too, we will see.The holes to mount all of them are already done by kreg. This mod improve the stability too. When I am finish, the stand can be used as an Elephant chair, lolThe photo show the project in process, not finished. Finally - the kreg customer service is absolute great. I asked anything and next day I got an absolute accurate, detailed answer.

I had to return the first shipment because it was delivered with one end of the box missing, and numerous parts simply not present. the replacement box also had damage but no parts were missing. Part of this is the carrier ,and part of it is Kreg. Someone needs to have a critical feedback session with their packing designer, because they have completely missed the mark.To the stand. Powder coating is good. One of the legs was not even close to bent at 90 degrees. It was off easily 5 degrees, way more than expected spring back from bending steel. I was concerned it would not come together, but with careful effort and force, it did and was fine. All the legs were not 90 degrees but close enough to be serviceable. Again, someone may wish to examine this step in the manufacturing process because the consistency just is not there based on my small sample set.Assembly is fairly straighforward and, with some care during assembly, the end product is square and sturdy. I opted for the Kreg casters, mostly just tired of shopping. They are also sturdy, roll well, and the locks work as they should.I would consider this system again if I wanted a rugged steel table frame.Kreg, please work on the packaging. The single walled box for the ends just isn't doing it.
