Beautiful pair of bongos. Quality is top notch and the sound is exactly what I was looking for. You can always trust LP. I would recommend these to anyone; from beginners to professionals. I have been playing drums my whole life but this is my first pair of bongos. Extremely fun to play - I can’t put them down!

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per questo classico della Lp, ora migliorato anche nella finitura esterna e nella qualità delle pelli naturali. Un must have, adoro.

In October 2013, I purchased a triad of LP Matador Congas and I knew that I would need to purchase some Bongos soon. I'm so glad that I found these Bongos in the same color as my Congas. I've been playing since I was a kid, but I've never had my own professional set of Congas & Bongos. After all this time, they're more precious to me because I've been wanting my own FOR SO MANY YEARS. Since October, I've been playing my Congas for my Church, and they've added a completely different flavor to the worship music. When I ordered the Bongos, I knew it was only going to get better.Along with another item I purchased (a workout supplement), the order arrived promptly, allowing me time to purchase a stand for the Bongos. I don't like holding them between my knees. I ordered them last week and this past Sunday (yesterday) was the first time I played them...LET ME TELL YOU, IT WAS AWESOMENESS!!! The Bongos took the sound and feel of the Music even higher than I expected. I haven't had THAT much fun playing in YEARS! I had more options for fills; slower songs were brightened between the Bongos and the other instruments I purchased with the Bongo stand on Saturday; and they've only spurred me to quickly complete my entire LP set as quickly as possible. I have a few more items to purchase--not many. But, these Bongos have taken my desired sound SEVERAL notches higher than I could have EVER imagined.Overall quality? By just handling them, you'll know you didn't buy something that was merely thrown together. The weight alone is enough to convince you. The wood provides a bright, crisp and clear sound that cuts through the music to make the Bongos' presence known. Like me, if you're playing alongside an inexperienced drummer who "beats" wildly and loudly instead of playing in the pocket (percussionists know EXACTLY what I mean), these will make your work to be heard far easier because they pierce the racket and force the audience to hear everything else that accompanies your particular patterns of fills or rhythms. I don't play for the attention of others. I play only for the attention of the One. He knows Who He is, and He hears EVERY note. However, when 3 people who haven't the slightest clue about any forms of percussion walk up to you after church and say, "I've heard you play before, and I can't quite hear everything you play because of everything else going on at the same time. But, today, I heard EVERYTHING you did over here, and it was WONDERFUL", you can easily assume what made the difference. If you're looking for a professional, affordable and VERY sturdy set of Bongos, these are it. As of yet, I've seen no need to get LP's Giovanni Hidalgo Series Congas or Bongos. First and foremost, those are too expensive for me right now. Maybe a few years from now will see me shelling out over $2200 for another set of Congas (alone), but not today.Give these little suckers a go. You will be BEYOND surprised. One more thing. Here's a tip: I like my Congas CRANKED UP HIGH, TIGHT AND BRIGHT. My Quinto is UP THERE, followed 3 or 4 scale steps down by my Conga and, likewise, my Tumba. Naturally, since the Bongos are smaller, you want them to have a higher pitch than your Congas. Well, because my Congas "sing" high, you can imagine what I do with these babies--of course, without damaging EITHER my Congas or Bongos. Try it out, and you'll see what I mean.Bryan
