This is the kind with the flip-out AC plug (two prongs). It worked fine for me. The indicator light, either red or green, makes it easy to monitor while the charging is going on. This is a very similar set-up to the original charger that came with my Canon camera in the beginning. You just match up the metal tabs on the battery. It required a little "push down and snap" to get it into place exactly, snugly, which is okay.

This charger does a great job, and at less than half the price of a name-brand charger. Excellent value.
