This is a great idea for framing just the insert art because anything too thick may break it. The ease of hanging wasn’t bad. But the frame itself arrived with seran wrap on it. I wish it had the clear film that peels off instead. Once opened I noticed scratches all over it. Very disappointing for the price. I won’t be ordering more

I picked this frame up to actually use with a vintage pop art piece my DJ uncle made in he 80s when he worked daily with records. I figured, because he had used a cardboard record box divider as the art board that it should fit into this sleeve well. I was wrong, it was too thick (I included a photo of this just to show that the frame may not take thicker record sleeves). This is probably my first note, that this may not fit larger vinyl compilations of more than one record.It arrived well packed. The frame was wrapped in plastic to keep it from getting scratched and 4 corner bumpers were used to keep the frame from damage from corner impacts. It came with a set of gloves (to remove fingerprints and keep the frame clean during hanging), and your choice of hanging hardware- permanent screw and dry wall expansion holes or removable wall safe (probably renter friendly) adhesive pads. The acrylic itself is decently thick and is open on 3 sides allowing you to easily slide in your record for display reducing damage to your record. I put one of my records in and found it looked great. Naturally, because it doesn't work for my off intended use I haven't hung it yet. I will be eventually passing it on to my son to display one of his records and if we run into issues hanging will update this listing. I personally prefer the frame style record holders. The advantage of this is the quick replacement ability if you want to change out the record on display and the floating look of the frame. At the present price of $23.86, this feels with in fair market value for this style frame.

The manufacturer really tried everything they could to avoid scratches. The acrylic comes wrapped in saran wrap, then bubble wrap, then in a box marked FRAGILE. They even include white gloves to use to avoid scratching. However, there must have been something between the 2 sides of acrylic, right at the opening, like it was stuck inside and rubbed together during transport. It's enough that you can see if you look closely, but not enough that it really takes away from how nice this is and how well-packaged it is and the care they took to avoid this from happening.So like I said, it comes with white cotton gloves for you to use while handling this. It also comes with 2 types of brackets to use: one that you install IN the wall, and one that you would use ON the wall. Since I'm putting this in my office, it's actually going to be on a stand, so I don't have to worry about installing. But they really put some thought into how to display this thing nicely. I was really impressed with the hangers they supplied. Like, a lot of thought went into the engineering of not only the product, but the display of it. I didn't use this for a record, but instead for a 12x12 paper portrait of a gold foil tiger - mandala I made (see photo - apologies for the reflection! - but you get the idea of the product itself). It displays REALLY nicely in here, despite it not being for that purpose. I tried an album in it, and it looked great!

Not sure if the crack is a one-off, damaged in packing, or if the acrylic is poor quality. Returned. Trying a different brand.

These are perfect for displaying your favorite vinyls. They're very easy to hang and the acrylic is clear and provides good protection to the sleeves. Can easily take them in and out.
