The tire inflator leaks from the deflator button. I opened the box, removed the zip tie, installed a connector, and it leaks directly from the side of the deflator button. The quick grip valve stem connector also has a poor seal. I am trying a replacement before jumping ship, and never buying milton again.

Why Milton doesn't standardize their hoses is unbelievably ridiculous but whatever the reason, this one DOES have the 1/4 in NPT end so you can put other fittings on with ease.... Like a quick connect then swap whatever chuck the task calls for easily. As for the tool itself, it has been copied basically identically by H.F. and it almost seems like the knockoff may be nicer. I have quite a few of the Milton and all but one started leaking pretty soon after purchase but the H.F. knockoff is not leaking at all. If the Milton isn't on sale and I need one I am going to H.F. since the build quality on this one is suspect and certainly not significantly better than the H.F. version.... Sad days Milton, sad days.

You will not get a reading unless deeply seated on a mile long schrader valve. Use this part: LockNFlate® Locking Air Chuck - Six Steel Jaws Lock onto Any tire Valve - Won't Leak or pop Off - Rated to 150 PSI - Open Flow.Make sure you get the "OPEN FLOW" one. Fits the 3/8 inch threaded rubber hose end perfect.Milton is not that helpful. They just say, "You bought it from Amazon—return it." They hopefully keep making these in the USA. If they were smart—they would copy the made in south africa valve and add that.Feel like Im a kid at a gas station again—filling precious air. MADE IN USA

Seems extremely overbuilt for what it is and that’s why I bought it. I removed the chuck and replaced it with a different one. Fit no problem. Took a bit of muscle to get the old chuck off but it came off. I saw other reviews saying it didn’t come off and it was weird size. Not for me… standard 1/4” air fittings worked perfectly.
