Supper happy with this little guy. I needed a simple way to mist a part, and this came fast and got the job done.

I changed out the quick connect fitting to a 1/4” quick connect for pex style poly line, and used about 3’ of that to a compression adapter with a 1/4” quick connect for my compressor. I also installed a decent magnet thru one of the provided holes and spaced it out a couple of inches. I tested w/ water @ 140psi shop pressure and it does a really good job. I’m definitely happy with it. After alot of reading i found that water works just fine for the “lubricant” as apposed to actual cutting fluid. Its a lot cheaper and you can just drain the catch basin and fill the feed jug right back up.

It is definitely cheap and leaky, but if you put your coolant above it and gravity feed it, you will have much better results. When the unit arrived it was missing a part, the seller send an entirely new unit without complaint. They are a great business to buy from..

Works great for the price. I removed the 8 mm fitting and replaced with a standard male quick connect, same thread, and also teflon taped the ball valve at the aluminum body piece. I tapped the mounting holes to 1/4-20 (gives about a 50% thread, good enough), turned down a six inch piece of 3/8 inch steel rod to 1/4 inch for half an inch, then threaded it 1/4-20 and screwed it in. Now it works with my magnetic indicator base!As others have noted, mount your fluid reservoir about the same height as the mist unit. The flexible purple tube leaks some air, but this doesn't affect operation, and the siphon tube runs all the way to the nozzle, so no leaks there. Just used this to cut a 2 1/2 hole in 1/2 by four inch cold rolled bar. I used CRC SL2512 Soluble Oil, available on Amazon, diluted 10 to 1 with water. Set my compressor to about 30 PSI. Worked much better than squirting oil on itAlso convenient for blowing chips off work so you can see layout markings.
