This is a very nice quality doctoral gown set. The set includes a gown, hood and tam. The gown is a nice mid-weight quality gown with royal blue panels and gold piping. The hood, when turned outward for wearing, features a royal blue and gold satin lining (the gold in this item really makes the royal blue color pop). The tam is a standard 5 sided tam.My favorite thing about this set is the tam! The tam is fully adjustable, which is a real value as most tams come in varying sizes and requires you to measure your head and adjust for hair thickness. This tam being adjustable fits as snug or loose as you like, which means for female faculty, this tam allows for various hairstyles.The weight of this gown is mid-weight, which means it is perfect for those cooler evenings, early mornings, and winter graduations. I can't wait to wear this in the winter for our December commencement!

This doctoral gown set includes everything I need. The gown, hood and tam are all well-made and of good quality. The royal blue color is very vivid and beautiful. I expect this gown set will serve for my needs for many years.
