This is a great lunch cooler. I pack my husband's lunch and breakfast carries his water. The dry tray is a must! Plus the little compartment on top is good for silverware, paper work. It also has a bottle opener. Many other features. Plus it keeps cold till the next day. Good quality product. Made in the USA. Will buy another larger cooler for picnics and such.

I just want to say first that I’m a huge Pelican fan and have loads of their cases and products and love them. I’ve been using a lesser quality lunch cooler for when I take longer road trips so I decided to grab one of these (14q). Love the size, it’s perfect to sit behind my front seats or keep on the front passenger seat. Very easy to open with one hand and can store a decent amount for its size. The downside is that I’ve been testing how long it will hold ice and cool temps for the past week since getting it, and 48 hours is pretty much the range for keeping things refreshingly cool. 4lbs of ice in with 5 standard water bottles and 2 12oz cans (already cold when out in) didn’t last 24 hours. The cold melted water stayed acceptably cool for another 24 hours but after that, I had to top off or just refill with ice. This was really just testing to see how long ice would hold and how long it would keep acceptable temps so I really only opened it once every 10-12 hours to see how it was doing. Now granted, right now we are experiencing crazy high heat index (for my area) of 104-110 so I give it that these are extreme temps for my area but nowhere like some of the other reviews say so not sure if my lid is not properly compressing closed or what. So I like it, it looks great, and will hold temps for my day trips or a little longer. I just know I wont put perishables in it and go unchecked for more than 2 days.

Excellent quality! Great capacity and well thought design. Well made with quality components (hinges and clasps, gasket, carry handle, utensil & condiment web,dry storage basket) This replaces a Stanley lunchboxes that fell apart after 4 months of daily use.Stanley lunchboxes used to be excellent--but evidently they have changed their manufacturing standards.I bought this PELICAN based on co workers recommendations as well as my own personal experience with their travel cases for my photography equipment.PELICAN = SUPERBLY GOOD QUALITY!!!!!

Quality is what you're buying, this is definitely a case of quality over quantity. Still able to fit quite a bit in even with ice packs, very pleased with how thick and sturdy it is. Keeps food cold for days!
