This is a great mat to put under your pets water and food bowls. My dog forgets sometimes to close his mouth when he has water in his mouth. Water falls all around his bowl. This mat soaks up the water. No mess.I can put my hand under the mat and there is no water and on the top of the mat. The mat soaks it up. Then the mat drys during the day.It makes my life easier since I don't have to clean up water all the time.

This mat does absorb moisture like those stone bath mats that are all the craze, but if you have a really sloppy dog, they will still dribble on your floor, there is no escaping that. The only solution to that would be to carpet the whole area with these mats, and that could get expensive.we have 2 of these, one for each dog and when the bowls are picked up the dogs will sit on the and chew their toys or sticks brought in from the yard, or sleep on them. This makes them dual purpose almost as they are pretty easy to clean as well and do not stain easily.

Here is a pic of my pup, very sad that her bowl is empty! This mat does a great job of holding things in place. Prior to the bowl stand in this photo, I was using a regular metal bowl. She was able to push it all around the room while she was trying to eat. But when I set the bowl on this mat, it was much harder for her to push the bowl around. She eventually moved it but the mat held the bowl in place longer. Now that I have this bowl stand, it is held in place pretty well also. She eventually moves it a little, but not all over the room. Easy to clean with spray and a towel.

My dog is a messy drinker and splashes water everywhere. I like the size of this pad and it does absorb the water but I did find that it was wet under the pad which is why I deducted a star. It was a lot of water so if your dog isn’t a messy drinker this should work well for you!

Cute mat that keep the dog from pushing her bowl all over the kitchen and catches most of the water she slops out of her water bowl. Overall, it's a nice addition and keeps the floor cleaner. Admittedly, I didn't find it to wipe up all that well, but I should have cleaned it before the food was dried on.
