For one of those nice stainless steel water dispensers, the reviews warned me that the spigots leak. Well, that turned out to be very true. Instead of returning the dispenser, which I knew I would like, I ordered this. It works perfectly and I'm completely satisfied.

Sobrepaso mis expectativas como herramienta práctica y portable, el único detalle es que no me mandaron la punta de 5mm y me mandaron dos de 4mm

Upgrading to the Stainless Works SSS010 Stainless Steel Beverage Dispenser Spigot has been a game-changer for my water filter system. The difference it made was immediately noticeable, transforming an everyday task into a seamless experience. Designed to fit a 5/8 inch opening, this spigot stands out for its durability, functionality, and sleek design. The first thing I appreciated about this stainless steel spigot was its robust construction. Moving away from the standard plastic spigots, which often feel flimsy and prone to leaking, this stainless steel option offers durability that instills confidence. It's resistant to wear and corrosion, ensuring a long-lasting and leak-free performance.Installation was a breeze. The spigot easily fitted into my water filter's standard 5/8 inch opening. The process was straightforward, requiring minimal tools and effort. This ease of installation is a significant plus, as it allowed me to quickly upgrade my system without any hassle.Functionally, the Stainless Works SSS010 spigot is a massive improvement over my previous plastic spigot. The flow rate is consistently smooth, and it offers a reliable seal when closed. This has not only made dispensing water more efficient but also more hygienic, as it minimizes the risk of spills and contamination.Aesthetically, the stainless steel design adds a touch of elegance to my water filter. It's sleek, modern, and blends well with other kitchen appliances. The spigot isn't just a functional piece; it also enhances the overall look of my dispensing setup.TL;DR: The Stainless Works SSS010 Stainless Steel Beverage Dispenser Spigot has been an excellent upgrade for my water filter. Its sturdy build, easy installation, efficient functionality, and sleek design make it a standout choice. This spigot has not only improved the performance of my dispenser but also its appearance, making it a valuable addition to my kitchen.

Likes: Quality and finish are superb; a pleasure to hold and to use. Clever, alternative ways to use tools via handy extension and leverage bar. Good ratchet mechanics. The set is relatively light and compact for day-to-day cycling, and the usability is a cut above the folding cycle tool.Quibble (not a dislike): Radius of wrench/leverage bar is small, precluding any serious power wrenching.Overall, my limited use in the wild has left me with no regrets for this purchase. Can't vouch for long-term durability, but I have used similar-quality tools (e.g. Snap-On) for years with no problems.

Aceptable, se ve que es de calidad. Considero la llave cara para el tamaño, solo espero dure más que las de plástico.

Rating done after one month of usage with Kilner beverage dispenser, mainly for water - so far so good. A little pricy, I must say.

I am so pleased with this spigot! It took me awhile to find the right size spigot to replace the one on my two gallon glass jar I make kombucha in. I bought the jar from one of the big box stores. The spigot on it had a horrendous flow rate. It took me forever to fill my bottles from the spigot whenever a batch was done. And that at the start. After a while the valve clogged up from the fibrous strands from the SCOBY. After a few batches I got fed up enough to take the old spigot apart with the intention of dremmelling out the valve to get a better flow. What I found was that the valve was basically two flat plates with slits in it. They rotate against each other to open. The opening is very small (no wonder it clogged so easily) and there was no way to modify it without causing it to leak. And did I say whole thing was made of some type of plastic which I'm sure was not BPA free? That's where this spigot comes in. There are plenty of 3/4 in. (19mm) replacement spigots out there, but this is the only one I could find that was 5/8 in (~16mm), which is the size I needed for my jar. I even went to a couple of hardware stores looking for parts I could modify or put together for my purposes, but I couldn't find anything I would trust with the acidity of kombucha. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay, but since it was the only one I could find that was the right size and it is stainless steel, I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon.I ordered the valve on the weekend and it arrived on Tuesday. It came in a bubble envelope. The spigot itself was wrapped with foam in a small box, so it was well protected. The exterior parts are all stainless steel. The finish is much nicer than I expected. Looking down inside from the back, I could see that the valve was a nice ball valve that FULLY opens, and not the funky plate type the other one had. The valve opening looked to be at least 1/4 in. (~6mm) wide. I don't recall exactly, but I think the ball valve inside was brass, but not totally certain on that point. I installed it before I took a second look to verify this. The installation was as easy as removing the old spigot and putting this one on. It has two silicon washers backed by stainless steel housings shaped to match the shape of the washers. They compressed the silicon washers well enough to get a good seal at just finger tightness, but I went ahead and gave it two more turns with a wrench to make sure. The silicon washers did not deform enough to cause me any worry that I had messed up the seal. Then I filled my glass jar half way. There were no leaks at all. Then I opened the valve all the way. The flow rate was really nice. Much better than the stock spigot. Also, controlling the flow rate was easy. It backs down nicely so you can get the flow rate just right for you. The ball valve should not clog with the stingy stuff from kombucha or lemonade or whatever you should flow through it, and even if it did it should be a breeze to clean. The spigot has a nice solid feel to it with a slight detent that happens when it moves into the fully open position. This is a nice touch. This is the only five star rating I've ever given. And that is because the item exceeded my expectations, even at twice the price of other replacement spigots.

I ordered this to replace a really awful, cheap, chrome/plastic/super crappy spout that came with a large glass beverage dispenser I got at a cheapo bargain store. I can't tolerate plastic touching my food or beverages, so I knew I would be replacing the spout. I am SO HAPPY that this product is available-its exactly what I wanted-actually better. I am so impressed with the quality of the casting, the polishing, the absence of any blemishes or burrs on the threads, the precision on the contoured stainless washers and silicon seals-truly a well crafted piece. Now that I have it installed-I am shocked they aren't charging upwards of 20, 25 bucks for this. Its terribly undervalued at $13. I would have paid much more. The spout has a nice movement to the handle-like another reviewer said-its smooth operating-won't flip out of your hand or cause liquid to splash like other push down/pull up handled spouts. Its very heavy-substantial-something that could withstand a lot of use and abuse without any ill effect. This is the quality that I would expect from a professional plumbing fixture (from a name brand company-not the cheap home store fixtures-its actually better than many things I've installed in my plumbing-because like it or not-its all got plastic/rubber parts that deteriorate) or an antique spout-something that was well made to last indefinitely and shows almost no change in appearance due to the finishing/design over time. I expect to have this spout forever! I can reuse it on any similar sized opening in a gravity feed jar.As a side note-I am a ceramicist and I will be making beverage dispensers soon because of this product. I never considered it before because I didn't think there were any quality (non plastic or plastic component containing) spouts out there. I was worried about leaks-since I have never encountered a spigot that doesn't leak. Now I can order some of these and make all manner of ceramic beverage vessels-knowing I won't be wasting my time. The only drawback I can think of is that because its metal-it won't work for people making Kombucha or water Kefir or similar fermented drinks.other than that-I am seriously advocating this spout. If you're like me and would rather pay once for something with great longevity and good design, than buy inferior future trash-you won't hesitate to purchase this-or several.
