There’s a huge gap between the beater of my dw3000 and the pad and there’s no way to get it closer. It also looks a little different to the photos and the review photos so might be a different model. Unfortunately I’ll be returning it for the Gibraltar one.

I had to put a 1inch thick gel pad on it cause it was a little loud. I've been playing on it every day for 2 to 3 hrs a day and it had held up. Excellent price for the product.

Unboxing, I felt this product was a good weight and well built.Once I figured it out how to set it up (not a stretch but there were no instructions) and breakdown was fairly simple.I updated my review when I realized that the upper support rod goes under the screw and not over. Putting on top actually works great and makes this quick to fold down for travel, but it extends the throw for the bass drum beater. It's a drum key screw which frankly I didn't notice at first. (Pic attached)It has plastic stoppers on the bottom to keep the creep down and some nice adjustable spikes to do the same. It did slip when it was just on my vinyl floor planks and I didn't want to use the spikes for obvious reasons. Using it on a low pile carpet chair mat it held very well. I did have to use the spikes though, and it would have been better for me to have velcro on the bottom (which certainly is easy enough to switch out)The feel on the pad seemed close to a regular bass head to me. Right amount of bounce etc.For me there was one major issue that kept me from giving it 5 starsAdjustability: The height of the beater surface is what it is. Seems to be what would be normal if you hit above center on a 22" Bass Drum. If this is not your normal height, you will have to lower the bass drum pedal beater to accommodate for it. For me I want to practice with my pedal set as I normally play it.

These work great if you want to get a good practice in with the sound level of a kick drum. The are easy to assemble and pretty straight forward. There was no instructions for assemble but it's really not needed to put them together. The foot print is small enough to fit most locations where you will find yourself needing them. Well worth the money spent. I bought 2 of them for a double kick setup and would buy again. Some of the screws for the carpet spikes were a little on the tight side. But with a little effort I had them where I needed them. The look and feel like a quality product. Time will tell on how long the last but would buy again.
