This thing is great with DeWalt batteries. I have a generic battery on it in the photo. It slides on easily and works great. Some of the previous reviewers don't know what they are talking about. The electronics (including low voltage protection) are in your battery. This adapter is just an adapter. Get one. You won't regret it, as long as you have DeWalt batteries. I don't recommend using a generic battery for this application, but I wanted to see if it would work in a pinch. I suspect my DeWalt 60V/20V flex battery would last all day. If you want to take your dish backpacking, this adapter is what you want to bring with you for power.

Work ok but a battery doesn't last. If you are lucky a 2 ah battery will last 1.5 and same rate of consumption for a 6 ah battery.
