Did many Google searches for adhesives and rubber was not on manufacturers list of tested materials. Pl premium construction adhesive worked fine. No more water in garage.

I was tempted to purchase a cheaper product - but glad I didn't. This product is good quality and proved its worth during a severe down pour - no water in the garage.

De muy mala calidad , se rompe con el paso de los autos , no duro ni un mes colocado antes de empezar a romperse en tramos de 30 cms por donde pasaban las llantas de los coches

The threshold seal is made from a hard dense durable rubber. It bonded extremely well to the cement floor and has showed no signs of loosening or lifting. Everytime someone sees them installed in my garage, they ask me to order a roll for them. Our insulated steel garage doors face to the west. Each time it rained with a west wind, the water would get pushed up the driveway and create large pools inside the garage. Those days are gone. Here are some installation tips. After receiving the threshold seal, roll it out flat in a warm room and let it sit for a day or two to lose the memory effect of being rolled up in a coil. Put some weights on the end that was at the tight side of the coil. Open the garage door and dry fit the flattened threshold seal. The larger yellow stripe should be on the inside of the garage. You may have to cut the ends to fit inside of the roller tracking if the track is sitting directly on the concrete floor. Close the garage door down onto the cut threshold seal and press the seal firmly into place under the door gasket. Make it nice and straight. The yellow safety stripe helps with the alignment. Use a black marker to draw a line on the floor along the inside edge of the threshold seal.Open the garage door and draw a second line onto the floor along the outside edge of the seal. Lift the seal and wipe down the "floor side" to remove any dirt or dust. Clean the floor between the two parallel marker lines with a wet rag. The floor must be spotless - no dirt, mud, grease or oil.I used "PL Premium" adhesive (highly recommended). You will need about two-thirds of a 295 ml (10 oz) size tube for each 10 feet of doorway opening. Apply 3 strips of adhesive (one down the centerline, and one strip on either side. Don't skimp on the adhesive, you can cut away any that squeezes out of the threshold seal after it dries. Use a spray bottle of clean water and give the PL Premium strips a light misting to activate the curing compounds.Drape the clean threshold seal over one shoulder and carefully lay it onto the adhesive evenly between the lines. Press it down with your hands then gently walk over the strip a few times to seat it into position. Examine the soles of your shoes. You definitely do not want to get the adhesive all over the floor or driveway (experience speaking!).Close the garage door down onto the threshold seal. From inside of the garage, make final adjustments to make the strip nice and straight. Leave the door closed overnight (24 hours is even better). You could use a cutter to remove any adhesive that may have squeezed out from under the threshold seal. Use some of the left over adhesive to make small dams between the ends of the rubber seals and the wall. (March 2025 update - the weather strips are both performing as well as the day I installed them. The rubber still looks like new and the strips are perfectly sealed in place). BRD

The back of our garage has a smaller single car roller door and since the levels were not done right we used to get water coming through the gaps. Had previously installed a cheaper rubber seal but didn't work too well. This however seemed to have stopped the water coming, it has had a really good test last couple of weeks due to crazy amount of rain in Sydney. Definitely recommend
