I haven't found a pump that is worth a darn. I own food trailers and we put these things to use daily. They ALL leak after a very short time. I would give a one star but only if I knew of one that worked. My advise? Get a cheap one and order two. Also get a warranty. You will use it on these.

The unit worked great until AFTER the return window (a month and a half). It started leaking out of every seam, and water was coming out of where the electrical cord enters the unit. I used it attached to a garden hose to pump water up to a sprinkler on a hill.My husband took it apart and back together to see if it would not leak, but no it did not help.But....now it's broken and I had to buy a new one from Harbor Freight.UPDATE:The seller promptly offered to refund my order. Great customer service.

So far this has performed well over the past few weeks of initial use. We have an off-grid property that has a well pump but no plumbing (well tank or pressure switch), so we didn't want to stress the well pump trying to use it on-demand for various uses. So, we put in a holding tank and connected everything with drinking water rated garden hose, and GHT - 1/2" NPT adapters. These adapters are widely available on Amazon (search GHT or garden hose thread to 1/2" NPT or pipe thread). The pump pulls water from the holding tank and goes past a small accumulator (This is recommended to smooth out the pressure spikes / drops in the lines as water is started/stopped frequently and slightly reduces charging cycles -search for seaflow brand), and goes out to another garden hose valve with various connections for various purposes (irrigation, outdoor shower, utility sink).I would much rather keep one of these on the shelf for 75 bucks in case it burns out than risk stressing a well pump 200' below the ground, that would be a substantial cost and effort to replace.Overall happy with the unit, some of the fittings that come with it seem a little flimsy, I used all brass fittings with Teflon tape and so far leak-free.I added an in-line 120V switch mounted next to it so I can easily turn it on and off.

I used this for a swimming pool solar heater. It is a salt pool so I worried about corrosion. I also worried about durability since camper water is an intermittent application and mine needed to run all day every day.It made it through the summer with no problems. It has paid for itself. It did get too hot to touch. I cured that by winding the cold water tubing around the motor. That kept it cool and added several watts to the heating mission. I am in year 2. The pump was drained over the winter but was exposed to sub-zero temperature. To my surprise and delight, it is still working fine.
