Drive's performance is as advertised. Good price for the amount of storage. The only issue is the heatsink. I recommend getting the version of this without it if you ever think you may need to put it in an external enclosure (some have built in or are space-constrained), or if your motherboard has one built in, which honestly is the majority of use cases since most motherboard's have a built in bracket these days. Extracting this drive from the heatsink is a bit risky. First, you'll need a small Torx bit (it was a T2 or T3, I can't remember which). When you try to extract it, the thermal pad is sticky, and the metal housing is a bit too tight width-wise. It doesn't slide out, it has to be lifted. There's an uncomfortable amount of bending, even if you apply even pressure slowly. It pops out in a way that can give one pause. Not a really good design. Pretty unnecessary. I did manage to get it out without damaging it though. I would give the non-heatsink version of this drive 5 stars, but this one gets 4.

Bin sehr zufrieden.

Be aware that this M.2 will run incredibly hot if you don't plan its placement well. Mine reached 89ºC and was not even being used! Don't even bother ordering the version with the dissipator from WD as this is basically useless! I've ordered an after market heat sink from SABRENT which should be significantly better and lower the temperatures quite a few degrees. In my case I have a fan-less chassis with low height so it is crucial to optimize the air flow around this NVMe SSD. Another tip if you don't need the speed of Gen4 is to configure the BIOS in order to use Gen2 which should save a few more degrees as it runs slower which for my use case is not critical. Aside from that, it is OK and much cheaper than the competition which is why I gave it 4 starts.

I think the is the non-heat sink one, I bought both. If it is Its almost as fast as my 4TB Samsung. It is expansive, but if you need a fast NMVe M.2 with 8TB of space its worth it.
