Perhaps a little thinner than I expected, but I have used it to make up a batter cable and other small connections and they have worked well so far. It will be interesting to see how long they last. That would be the better review.

This is a good product. You get a lot more for the price then you would if you bought in a local store

Absolutely love these. Will not do a project without heat shrink tubing. My first box was on or in a pile of stuff, but now I cannot find it. I suspect a cat knocked it down to the bottom of the pile. (I am a few Amazon deliveries short of a hoarder.) I did not know that they had adhesive on the inside until I went to reorder. What a wonderful idea. Get a box and keep your eyes on it.

I'll start off by saying that the product does what it is supposed to do. It shrinks as expected, it has a strong adhesive and is reasonably resistant to abrasion once it has cooled.I have 2 issues with the product as received.1. The plastic box was warped and the hinge side of the lid would not stay together.I didn't factor this into my rating as I didn't buy it for the box.2. The product labeling on the box is misleading as to the inside diameters of the tubes. Since I thought that something looked amiss, I decided to check the diameters with a set of metric sizing gauges. Below are the measured inside diameters measured in mm to the 1/10 mm. The fractional inches are to the 1/32 of an inch rounded down to ensure that the tube will slide over something of that size.3.2mm (1/8")4.0mm (5/32")5.5mm (3/16")7.5mm (9/32")8.5mm (5/16")10.5mm (3/8)I hope you find this helpful.

I used the smallest shrink wrap in this pack for some slot car soldering. I pointed the heat gun at it and it shrunk by maybe 20%, eg not enough to insulate my wire in a manner I deem satisfactory for this kind of project. I cannot say anything for other use cases, but I do not recommend this product for hobby use. Now, this is listed as a waterproofing wrap, and I did notice a resin-like substance ooze out of both ends of the wrap when applying the heat gun. If whatever this is actually waterproofing material I would guess that it works as advertised? It did make the wire a little stiff, as mentioned in other reviews.
