Absolutely a Bargain! I have been using this jack hammer for close to a year on various projects at home--breaking up an asphalt driveway, breaking through underground rock, etc. and have never been disappointed. Will it last forever?--probably not, but it should give me several years of dedicated service. The 45 lb. weight is heavy, but manageable. At 73, I can still handle the jack hammer with no problem, but it might not be the case for everyone. The jack hammer comes in a nice heavy-duty case. I ordered three bits for it, but have mainly used the flat 1-ich edge bit.In the fine print of some other reviews, Shell Rotella T1 SAE 40 Heavy Duty Engine Oil was recommended, which I purchased at our local auto parts store. I have yet had to add any oil though. Just keep an eye on the oil level through the small round window.Like most items, a low review is likely due to someone not reading the instructions or not caring for the jack hammer properly. An example: Putting the bit in is tricky, as one has to pull the metal piece on the side of the hammer barrel out and twist 180 degrees in order for the bit to slide in all the way, then pull the small metal piece out again and reverse to the original position. It takes a bit pf practice to master. Once the bit is in, you are good to go. Just watch the oil level. Is the hammer noisy?--Yes, but it is a jack hammer. Be sure to wear your hearing protection.I am thinking of ordering a second of these jack hammers before the prices go up due to the tariffs.

After searching n' searchin' thru many different vendors and many different models I had ended up with this as first choice due to the many A1 reviews from everywhere on this product AND I can surely state - 'this one surely performs' !!! Arrived within days so 'very fast svc.' is also worthy of a note. Setup was a breeze - only having to add a bit of oil for which I had to do a few minute search around here for. Was kinda surprised by its weight at first - thinkin' uh-oh is this going to really do what I need it to do . Within a few days it went outside - right off cracked a section (5th photo) within a few minutes and this concrete was 'not' a light duty pour by no means - was poured 15 yrs. ago showing no deterioration nor any cracks in its '16 slab' total length! Prior to more usage I got out the circ saw bladed for masonry and did a few saw cuts here n there near any false cuts to help prevent next slab breakage due to the mesh since I was only removing certain slabs at this time. This demo tool removed: 2 4x4 (6-inch thick) 'fully meshed' raised aggregate slabs within a few hours without issue! All debris was cleared from the areas prior to end of day! Completed only using the included wide chisel bit for the whole job - once finished this bit acually nearly appeared as new! So that's also worthy of note here. I just kept movin' approx 6in. from every next split and this tool kept on splittin' til completed. It never bogs down and never once got stuck - it even went right thru the mesh in some areas - remember they're fully meshed. I still have 2 more slabs (one's 4x8) yet to do but the weather here delayed that til spring time and I'm sure this will handle the rest and more when the time comes giving me years of future statisfaction. Very satisfied overall - what a great deal it had been. NOTE - the only drawback I had was when ithe kit first arrived ... the case had been cracked - at first I didnt even notice but upon using the case as intended to pull the kit across the floor it was tilted to one side - once I removed 'all' the contents I found the cracked corner split toward a caster (the obvious weak link) - but hey it still rolls so no biggie - it'll carry it all along just hafta b a lil more diligent as to where it travels (like away from any gravel). Yes they could've molded the case with a lil more thickness thou their goes the price ... to me the main value is in the tool itself - and this was a sure winner in that dept. ... simply awesome ! ... :)

Laid a 50ft brick pathway, used this to dig the channel for the edge and break the hard clay/rock soil in the middle to be shoveled out. Was a little hesitant to buy in case this was a poor cheap item, but has worked fine and i am very happy with purchase. The "extras" (gloves, eye protection, mask, oil can) seem like a joke, not sure why company even bothers (maybe legal). Instruction manual could use a little more clarity, i've never used this type of tool before and was not securing the implements correctly at first (figured it out).Only slight "issue" i've encountered was the safety feature where the implement won't start hammering if it doesn't detect a solid surface - this snagged me up a few times when i first started (not a big deal, just slightly annoying) but by the end of the project it wasn't happening at all so it seems you just get used to whatever the proper technique for handling the tool is.Overall great purchase, very satisfied, can't beat the price.

I purchased this to chip through a concrete garage floor that was accidentally poured over the septic tank.Right out of the box I noticed the weight of this tool. It was heavy. The 2 bits that came with it were very sturdy looking also. I watched a youtube video on how to use an electric jackhammer correctly & got to work. I cut a short, but deep channel on one edge of the 30" square I wanted to remove. I started there chipping the concrete out & moving away from the channel as I broke through to the ground below. The pointed bit worked best for breaking pieces out. The chisel bit worked to square up the edges & a couple times to dig out the pointed bit when I got it stuck. I had someone removing chunks as I worked, so the tool got a pretty good steady workout. After about 3, 1/2 hours I had jackhammered out a 30" square through 6" of concrete with no issues from this tool. It did warm up a bit & it needed it's own circuit when plugged in to avoid tripping the breaker. The tool performed amazingly well in my opinion & would be great for small to medium jobs like I did. Well worth the investment I think. It's also a very good idea to watch a how-to video to avoid mistakes that make the job harder. Yes I would recommend this tool to others.
