This thing is SOOO STRONG. I chose the classic black color since I will use this when I go out for meals and the establishment doesn't have a hook under the bar or if all the seats at my table have someone sitting with me.I've only tried this at home, but for the tables it fit on, it was firmly there and I didn't have to worry about my bag falling off. But holy moly, if I wanted to adjust it to be just a little wider or smaller, it was quite difficult. (It's the only reason I docked a star, honestly.)So this won't be a hook that can be functional for every table/bar, but if it's a snug fit, there is padding around the areas that would be touching the tables, meaning there shouldn't be any table damage. When I tested it like that, I was concerned about my table but when I took it off, the table was completely fine. I was very happy about that outcome lol.This could be used at your work desk if you wanted, but your desk's top needs about an inch or inch-and-a-half lip for the hook to fit well.I don't typically carry heavy purses, but just from the amount of force I had to use to attempt adjusting the width of the opening, I'm confident it could handle heavy handbags.

Thought this would be ideal for my work desk but it wasn’t. It fit the desk but the only option was the hang the purse where my knees are … so it didn’t work out. Bought a different one that’s more versatile and can take to other places and fits all different surfaces.

I like that this comes in a pack of two. I also like that it’s not particularly heavy so it won’t weigh down my bag when I travel with it. What a great way to store your bag so it’s out of the way and not on the floor getting dirty. It seems to work well, but if you jostle it, it does come off.
