These are heavy duty, well constructed binding posts that are nice and long, making them easy to use in a DIY speaker build like my C-Notes.I am taking a point away for the way they are linked to each other, requiring me to drill parallel lines that are the correct distance apart to make sure everything lines up properly. I underestimated just how difficult that can be, and how much being a fraction of an inch off center can hurt you.Don't get me wrong, these still work great, fit my banana plugs (a must in my opinion for premium audio) and sound fantastic. It just proved a little more challenging than split posts would be. And I expect however handy I am (or am not) there's a lot of Amazon customers building their first speakers that are in the same boat.
