I was skeptical when I got these. I know the expensive ones can work. I had no idea under $50 you can get a solid translator. It does take some getting used to. There is a rthym to using it. You need to speak then wait for the translation for the person and them to respond and it in turn be translated for you. You have to learn to speak clearly and stop the umm, ahh, and mmm kind of stuff. Once the that stuff is learned it is really good at translating. I had a real conversation with my mother in law that only knows a handful of English words. It was really cool once we figured it out. If you are traveling i would definitely recommend it, but also if you have someone in your life that English is not their first language. This device really helps smooth communication. I only just received but I am impressed. I hope it stays working because this I know need.

works! wish i had this when traveling internationally. you download the app and control the translation manually or 'live' . in Texas though i plan to use this to translate Spanish.

Surprisingly effective real-time translation. Great sound quality and perfect for travel or work. A must-have for multilingual communication.
