Tested 2 of 32 units with similar results. End to end lights measure 6" with actual light surface at 5" and about 5/8" across. I put these in dark bedrooms with no outside light with a temperature of 67degrees F. After activating the glow sticks they glowed brightly for about 1 hour and then dimmed by about 20% and maintained that intensity for about 14 hours. While you certainly can't read a book with these you could definitely see most of the features in the room. After 14 hours the intensity decreased by about 50%. Thirty six hours later they still have a glow to them so they could be used to mark tent guy lines, etc. at night. While I could not confirm this, I supect that result may differ based on age of stock and ambient temperature. I highly recomend these glow sticks for value and functionality. Great item for camping, power outages, etc.

These glowsticks helped get us through a week without power after hurricane Helene. They start very bright, though they dim a bit after an hour. We found them most helpful to hang through the house at night so we didnt have to carry flashlights everywhere we walked, sort of a supplement to the flashlights, rather than a total replacement.

This is the second one I’ve used and it is still glowing after activating it January 12th @ 8:45am and it is now 3:00am January 13th. So still glowing after 18+ hrs. The 1st one was the same.Wish I had ordered more as they are not available now! 😡
