Most of the needle protectors I’ve come across in the past have been for larger needles, so I haven’t had much luck with smaller sizes (like the size 2 circulars in my photo). These flower needle protectors are great because they seem to be geared towards smaller needles and stay on very well. I also love the “stoppers” that you insert both needles through. I’ve never seen anything like this used for knitting before and it’s kind of genius. They are basically the toggles used for the drawstring of a windbreaker or anorak if that helps you picture them. They have a bit of grip to them, so they hold whatever sized needle will fit through them and eliminate the mystery of where the other end of your circulars wound up when you put your project away and the fear of pulling stitches off while trying to take out your wip. A simple idea, but with a bit of fun added through great colors and the floral theme. They’ve been great so far!

I've come to prefer these types of needle stoppers over the standard cone shaped ones for their ability to hold onto my needles through a lot of movement and in a travel bag, and these are perfect for the job. The cute little flower stoppers fit all sizes of my needles from 2.75mm up to 10mm, and they stay put on the slick aluminum needles. I can toss my work into a to-go bag and be sure that these stoppers will stay on my needles and my stitches won't come free, losing my progress.These stoppers are also excellent for working with double pointed needles when I choose to, and are easy to remove as I work my way around the needles and switch between them. The shape of the flowers makes for easy gripping for installation and removal.The plastic clips with two holes only fit needle sizes 2.75mm to 3.75mm, a 4mm needle will not fit through the holes of the spring clips.
