Keeps them occupied for quite some time indoors or outdoors.

This dart board is huge. Perfect for your childs bedroom, or play area. The balls do light up when thrown, and the board itself lights up too. Which is a neat feature unlike the ones that we had when we were kids. I love that it is double sided as well. When the kids get tired of one side, you can flip for a whole new look and different game. The colors are also vibrant even when the lights aren't lit up. This board is very well made, and the balls are too.

I docked one star because half the balls don't light, and it takes some throwing force to get the balls to stick and light up. all in all, it's a great game and the lights make it so much fun. We used it at a Halloween carnival trunk or treat party and the kids kept coming back to play some more. I recommend it.

I teach 6th grade in an area that gets cold and snowy. Cold and snowy means several "inside recess" days. Inside recess means wild kids running around burning off steam and doing it in your classroom. I could restrict their enthusiasm, but I need that energy to burn off so they'll sit still for the lessons. I already have a small basketball hoop over the door. It does a great job. The boys like to play speed. I needed something else and saw this dart board and found what I needed. The kids love this! It is easy to remove from its storage case and hang. You'll notice I have it hanging over an open cabinet. It comes with its own hangar (pictured). I was concerned the sticky back wouldn't work on wood with only half fastened to the wood. It works fine, even with rough play. The sticky balls stick very well, even when thrown with a good amount of force. They can take a beating. I haven't had one ball disintegrate into pieces, even when my baseball players throw it with moderate force when playing. This is when I discovered a downside to the game. Some students throw wildly and the balls fly off in all directions making them difficult to find sometimes. I'm making rules now about keeping the color counts at 5 at all times, and when one ball goes missing, the game stops until it is found. There is a battery pack on the back of the board for the LED lights. The battery pack has the off, on and LED pattern switch. The pack is cheaply made. The switch doesn't give me hope it will last, either. Usually, I'd grade the board down a star on that, but honestly, the LED lights are hardly worth the cost of the batteries when it comes to usefulness and fun. I turned the lights on once to see the student's reactions. One said cool, the rest didn't care and the game resumed. The lights are just a gimmick and they stay off.The other bothersome thing about this board is that it doesn't lay flat against the wall. This is due to its design, so you can fold it up quickly to store it. The bowing doesn't matter to the game, so it's unworthy to lose a star over that. This dart board is a fantastic addition to my classroom. The kids love it and it keeps them occupied on those indoor days. Five Stars.
