I'm a fisherman. I wanted something to hold fish while I removed hooks from their mouths. Makes hook removal easier and faster so fish is out of the water less time and has a better chance of recovery if returned to the lake. There are fishing equipment manufacturers that offer products specifically designed to do this but they cost significantly more. These get the job done.

The tongs are fine. In the description it said they were shiny. I wanted something shiny to use when we have guests. They are NOT shiny. I kept them since the price was good, and I liked having two sizes.

I've had and used these for about a month. They go through the dishwasher well. No sign of rust. They work well. The size is good. They are lightweight but not flimsy. They aren't fancy but they look fine on a casual buffet. I've taken to using them for everyday cooking too. The edges are fine, they are safe. Best part was I was able to purchase two different sizes in this package!
