These child safety locs for the cabinets are everything! We were using the magnetic key one before and our daughter would just yank it and pop off one of the pieces to the lock and open the door. She would take everything out of the cabinets on a daily and it drove us nuts. Since installing these we are finally able to end our day without cleaning. The installation was easy but the way the instructions were written they weren't clearly stated although I did figure it out. Before I started I cleaned both spots with alcohol that the adhesive would be placed in and let it dry. Then I took the lock and placed it on the cabinet to mark where I wanted to put the lock. Once I had that figured out I adjusted the strap. I took the end that was already pulled back and pulled it higher and pulled the strap until it was the right length. Then I took the adhesive off the end with the sliding piece and placed it against the cabinet first then attached the other side of the adhesive. I held both ends for about two minutes to make sure it stuck. The instructions state to wait two hours before using but I didn't unlock it until the next day for good measure. However, my daughter did try to yank the door to the cabinet open with no luck. She's two years old, 3ft and 25lbs. Believe me when I say our daughter is pretty strong. Since she couldn't yank the door open I know the adhesive is strong. I'll update if anything changes. I was able to use it for the cabinet and the drawers. I love that the color of the lock matches the color of the wood so it's not much of an eyesore and isn't apparent so the little one isn't tempted to tinker with it. I wish I knew about these locks all along. Who ever invented these is definitely a genius and provider of sanity. I recommend these 100%!

I tried 2 other products (spring lock and magnetic lock) but both doesn't seems to be working and then I tried Viaky strap lock and it works perfectly fine. Easy to install and open/close on daily usagealso, this doesn't leave any gap when child pulls the lock and helps NOT mistakenly press Childs fingers which happens in other locks I tried before.Also, One aesthetic piece I liked is the brown color which i used to match with our cabinets. I also ordered another set for black to set locks on our black cabinets too.

Purchased to use on my brown furniture works well but some did not hold well . They do come with 1 sheet of replacement foam adhesives. Got the job done but I know it's a matter of time before the others fall off. very easy to install and use.
