I ordered this to replace a previously installed kit that had simply worn out after several years of use. This kit turned out to be a direct replacement which made the removal of the old parts and the installation of the new ones very easy. Task took less than an hour from start to finish.

I have installed these on my own 01 Odyssey as well as on a couple customers cars (I own a Honda repair shop). My shop foreman has them on his 03 Pilot. I have had them for over 6 years now and they are still holding up on all of the vehicles. I converted my Odyssey into camping van with a bed in it. I have them aired up when driving with van fully loaded so we don't sag in rear and scrape on rough roads and of course it feels way better over speed bumps. When it comes time to sleep, I let the air out to level the van. I just keep a small compressor that plugs into the rear accessory socket. I put the valve under the rear bumper in one side. Not sure why other people had issues with them splitting, but we remove the bump stops that are inside the spring cavity with a sawsall. I would think if you didnt do that it would put wierd pressure on the bags and damage them. It doesn't seem to mention it in instructions, but we have always done it. I have aired mine all the way up to 40psi with no issues.

I didn't like the sagging of my 2000 Honda Odyssey on our weekend trips for our travel baseball tournaments. I used some temporary blocks (spacers) but being that they are temporary, they fell off. I looked for an inexpensive, easy install that I could do myself. I asked a freind for his opinon on the quality since he is into off road activities. He told me that it was a good quality product and price for my intended use. I bought the kit and waited for the mail.I read the reviews and install tips from other reviews and was a little worried about the whole cutting of the jounce bumper. When the kit arrived, I went to install. The directions were easy and clear, with illustrations, and a template for the hole required on the arm. I actually lowered the arm and removed the coil spring so I could cut the jounce bumper (hard to cut the jounce bumper though the coil spring, bad angle), and install the air bag and then re-inserted the coil spring. Easy. Another thing i did diffrently than the instructions was the placement of the valve. I placed it next to the gas cap for easy access. Now my van has plenty of clearance on the wheels and the sagging is no longer an issue. My bike rack also no longer scarpes on the floor when I enter my driveway or a commercial shopping center. I also noticed that the handling of the van has improved.Hope this is helpfull and good luck on your install.
