Horrible I went skiing and my gloves were wet straight through after 45 minutes.

These ripped after my daughter skiing 1 time with them. Now she gets to have duct tape gloves cus I am not going through returning them because then she will have no gloves.

After reading the reviews, I was careful with selecting the size for the mittens since most reviews indicate that the sizing is too small and incorrect. I read the size guide and measured my hand and ordered small. The sizing is correct and the fitting is good. I suggest that you measure your hands before purchasing and make sure it's consistent with the sizing guide to avoid further disappointment. Self-perception of sizing or age are not a reliable way of measuring your hand size.

I use them for just doing outside things and driving to work in temps in the low to mid twenties Fahrenheit. My fingers still get pretty cold. It helps if your hands are warm to start with. I don't know about the water proofing as not much water when it's in the 20's F. I would never use them for seriously cold weather
