I typically have zero confidence in gloves and these exceeded my expectations. They were significantly warm without needed another thin layer under it. I was able to move around and they withstood several hours of cold on a ski trip. These gloves were affordable and arrived in a timely manner. I also didn’t feel any moisture.

These gloves would be great except that when the palm pad was sewn on, it was sewn too high up from the palm to the fingers, reducing the finger length by over a centimeter. This creates a great grip for for ski poles or ropes but creates a shortened finger length so you cannot fully extend your fingers. It's just an awkward fit with such a large gap between the finger and the glove between each finger. The only way to correct this would be to cut the palm grips and resew in the correct place.

Arctix Women's Switch Up GlovesI almost didn’t order these gloves, because the selling price was higher than most of the other gloves that I was considering, but I am so happy that I decided to take a chance on them. We live in an area that gets very cold during winter and also gets a lot of snow that often doesn’t completely melt until after the calendar insists it’s spring. I’ve gone through my fair share of so called heavy duty gloves and have not found a pair that I would order again. I’m hoping that will change with these Arctic brand gloves. Here are the reasons why I like them:* They really fit my small hands. When I end up wearing gloves that are too big, my fingers seem to feel colder than with a good fit.* They are water repellant and wind resistant. The outer fabric feels very sturdy.* The palms have a surface that helps me grip things.* The lining is soft and there is an ample amount of it around the fingers. It has 3M Thinsulate insulation.* They can be machine washed and dried. I have had other gloves that took days to air dry.* There are fasteners that will help the gloves stay on snugly on the top of the hand, at the edge of the glove and a sewn in elastic band as well.* There are tabs at the edges that you can use to pull the gloves on tightly.* They can be connected with a clip to prevent loss and there is also an elastic band for holding onto them or hanging them when they’re not being worn.I still won’t love winter, even if these gloves live up to my expectations, but maybe I won’t mind the weather as much.
