I bought this knowing it was just a "canvas sack", after reading reviews. But what I didn't know is that even using a large poster board inside so it could stand up to the weight of the handle, it then had no room for any art canvases. That would be too thick.So I cut the poster board to 16 inches by 24 inches and duct taped it inside on the back. This prevented the zipper from catching, and gave it a lot more durability. The zipper opening is 17 in. So something to think about given the measurements which are smaller by an inch in width.I use it for my cyanotype prints and the largest is 14 x 16 inches. I can fit 4 in . (Heavy weight water color paper.) The smaller zippered pouch, I have my pressed flowers in that are encased in Bristol board pockets of 8 X 10 in.Again, it can only carry 6 of these. But once full it is definitely durable and easy to carry. I do without the shoulder strap as it just adds more weight.

It’s sturdy and serves a purpose. It’s the third one I have purchased from Arteza. Great value for the price.

this portfolio carrying bag is probably the same as all the other portfolio carrying bags on here; it's canvas only with no rigid backing to keep your work flat. i knew this when purchasing and don't mind since i'm only carrying around pads of newsprint which are very flexible anyways. it would certainly look more stylish if it would remain flat instead of flip-flopping around on my commute, but whatever.so my low star review isn't because of this product specifically, but because i do not recommend this type of bag in general whatsoever. i bought a flat carrying bag because my professor sternly recommended it, but now that i have it i think he's a bozo. he recommends it because it prevents you from having to roll up your newsprint... but this thing takes up so much damn space. it's clunky and annoying to carry around and rolling my paper up in a tube would be so much more ergonomic. this thing is just annoying and i don't even think it having a rigid backing would make it much less annoying.but if you need a portfolio case in this style, this is honestly a fine bag. the double pocket is convenient and its stylish enough. just attach some cardboard or stilts to the inside and you'll have a firmer backing.

This is a soft-sided case, as the description indicates, & arrived folded in fourths. We bought a couple of black, foam posterboards to cut to fit and inserted them to provide flat, fairly sturdy support surfaces to protect my daughter's pictures & storyboards for college.Since she has to ride a shuttle bus, we were worried about how well it would hold up, but so far it's working out great, even when the bus is packed & she's stuck standing.The water resistance is good. Hopefully it will prove to be durable as well, but so far it looks almost as good as new 3 months into the semester 🤞

I bought it quickly and did not realize it is a soft bag that can be folded up.It is nice and big.It can carry quite a bit of artwork, but since it is soft, it does not protect the artwork. ( i will need to find a hard cardboard to insert to protect my work.
