Programming the keypad and pairing to my gate opener worked the first time. It was easy to mount into the wall with the included accessories allowing guests and friends with the code access.The remote is a nice extra with well thought out features. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. I couldn't get the remote to pair with my yellow button receiver until I read the instructions. The remotes buttons have to be programmed for the type of rolling code denoted by the color of the learn button on your opener. Once I did that, it paired immediately. It has good range and a slide cover to prevent accidentally opening the door or gate without realizing it. I've avoided keychain remotes for this precise reason until now because I've inadvertently opened my garage door from my pocket while inside the house. This solves this problem as long as I slide the cover over the buttons.

This is a great pair of remotes for my needs. The twenty year old original remote for my opener has seen better days, so I needed something. The keychain remote is about the same size as the key fob for my car, so it’s easy to carry, and I won’t accidentally leave it in the car or at home. It has a cover to protect the buttons from accidental pushes, which I really appreciate.The keypad remote gives me a secure solution for easy entry to the garage when I don’t have an opener on hand. It supports multiple 4-digit codes, so I can make a code for my wife, myself, and have a different code to give to a contractor if I need to.Programming was a little confusing, especially for the keypad, but not too bad. I’m not thrilled with the mounting option for the keypad; while two screws are provided, the keypad only has a single hole for a mounting screw. This makes it impossible for the keypad to stay oriented the way I want it… every time I open or close the cover, it twists a bit, and I have to straighten it out. It’ll be ok, but if I used it a lot it would irritate me every time.Overall this is a good value, and fits my needs well.

Got this to replace our old one that stopped working. We have a Chamberlain garage door, and with the directions, it was easily compatible. This was so easy to install and program both the keypad and the remote. The remote that comes with it is so nice because it can go on my keychain, and it has a little cover that slides over the buttons so I don't accidentally push them. The buttons on the keypad light up, making this so easy to use in the dark. This has a function to use for temporary password in case guests come over and don't want to give them our regular password. The quality of both the keypad and remote are excellent, and the cost can not be beat! Excellent value!

The 877MAX & 893MAX LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Remote Keypad was faster to setup than reading the instructions. We ahve a pair of garage door openers and the one I use the remote eats batteries. I have not been able to get 3 weeks out of a set and the one my wife uses has lasted over a year. So I was looking to replace it and I came across the 877MAX & 893MAX LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Remote Keypad. The keypad is a great idea to access the garage when you do not have your remote. The key fob opener works great also and is much easier to carry than the larger one it replaces. Also this set was a much lower cost than the actual replacement remote was.

It literally took longer to read the instructions than it did to get the device configured. It worked exactly as described in the instructions. Within minutes I had the opener screwed to the trim outside of my garage and it was working great. The remote instantly synced with my garage door opener - all you have to do is see what color of learning button is on your opener, and the instructions stipulate exactly how to get it going. The included key fob was just as easy to program. If you have a Chamberlain or Liftmaster opener from 1993 or later I feel like you can't go wrong with this accessory.
