The 4 pins on which the stand rests are from plastic and can't be adjusted in hight - if you floor isn't level the stand won'y be stable and can easily fall over, and when that happens one of these plastic pins may break off as well

review:Atlantic 77335799 Speaker Stands for Bookshelf Speakers up to 20 lbs - Pair (Black)I'm a big fan of this stand.1. love the price. i'm dabbling in mere entry level audiophile stuff and i intend to stay in this realm. I just need a solid metal stand that doesnt cost arm and leg. This hits the spot for price point.2. solid metal construction. basic look, minimalistic and not fancy. covers all the needs for a small to medium sized bookshelf speaker.3. floor and speaker flats come with OPTIONAL spikes. Depending on your floor type you may or may not want them. It gives you 3M adhesives to keep the speakers relatively steady and safe from somebody bumping the speakers.4. optional angling of the speaker plate. You can install the plate in a diamond pattern or aligned to base pattern.5. cable management. The bar is hollow so you can channel your speaker wires up the bar and there is a back hole to exit. There is a rubber band to also keep cabling at bay. nice touch6. I will note the BASE plate is MDF with faux "carbon fiber" veneer. The metal bar is screwed into the mdf board. Thats the only part that isnt metal. I find this stand rather solid.7. the spikes are plastic so they actually wont really damage hard wood either. This is really a great price for a solid stand. I have absolutely not complaints here so far. This is an unflashy stand that just checks all the boxes for price, features, and stability. For the record, i'm holing up some Cambridge Audio 6.5" bookshelf speakers and it is solid.

Does the job. When I was looking around for speaker stands I was surprised how expensive they were and how limited the options are for budget stands that could actually hold speakers that weighed more than an piece of paper. I really didnt want to pay more than like 30 bucks per stand but after looking around for a while looking at adjustable height options I kept coming back to these simply because of the price, they were the height I needed and could hold my 15 pound bookshelf speakers. I got 4 of them for my surround system. Easy to assemble. Was confused about the rubber o ring and whether it needed to go above or below the bottom plate but I think I put it in the right spot between the two bottom pieces. Wish the instructions would have clarified that better. I was also worried about using these stands on my hard floor because other people were saying they use metal spikes for the bottom and they were right so I bought a pack of felt pads and stacked them 3 layers high to get the height I needed to clear the bottom and leave room for wires as you can see in my pics. Works great on my hard floors. They really should include thick felt pads in the box to use instead of the metal spikes. The felt pads are an absolute must if you're planning on using these stands on hard floors. I used gorilla double sided tape to stick my speakers to the stands and they are stuck on there good now. Another thing I noticed was the platform at top of the stands weren't all 100% even with each other. Some were rotated a few degrees off axis which seems to be a quality issue with where the holes are predrilled. Wish I took a pick when I had the assembled and lined up. So if you attached your speakers and lined them all up some would be rotated slightly and uneven. So it would be best to get the stands in position and line up your speakers before attaching them permanently. But in the end it didnt bother me anyway as my speakers overhang the platform due to their size and I lined them up before attaching them to the stand. The quality of the stands themselves seems to be well made and sturdy. They aren't wobbly and stand up pretty well. Overall happy with the purchase. Wish they were cheaper tho

Purchased these for my rear surround speakers, and I couldn't have asked more (for the price) with these stands. They come with multiple speaker mount options. I've gone for the adhesive strips to lock my relatively smaller speakers in place. I wish there was a way to put the stands flat on the floor rather than with the plastic spikes, as they are slightly wobbly on our floor. Not a major issue for us, but I think it could be an issue with larger/heavier speakers. All in all -if you are after a great looking pair of stands with excellent cable management and terrific bang for your buck, look no further than these.
