Updated: The company reached out to me and issued a full refund. I'm changing my review based on that. I currently have a Bestek converter plugged in and it's working fine. If it goes down I'll update my review.I liked the compact design and it seemed to work - for a while. After about 3 weeks it started humming loudly. I contacted the company they asked me to send a video with sound showing the problem. I did and they immediately sent a replacement. Great service. However, the second one also failed. When I tried to return it, it was out of the full refund period and I received 50% back. (The problem was the return counter started on my original order, not the replacement.)I've decided to look for another option.

I bought this sine wave voltage converter to use in Europe with a 20 watt motorized device. This is a low amperage motor that is easily within the converter's 150 watt rating. At first the converter worked fine and I was satisfied with its performance. However, after about 1-2 hours of total discontinuous use the converter started making strange whirring noises probably from the fan and then it burned out the motor in the device I was using that cost several times what I spent on the converter. This converter is junk and permanently damaged my electronic devices. I threw it out because I could no longer return it after 30 days.

Lo compramos por los buenos comentarios, y no nos funcionó en Francia. La secadora de cabello nunca prendió y la plancha de cabello negro rendía 5 segundos y se apagaba, nunca calentó

Solo conectalo y listo. En cuanto a usarlo en el avion no lo recomiendo, es pesado y con cualquier movimiento brusco se caerá.

Lo compré para un viaje a Francia y España. Salió muy malo por qué al tercer día empezó a hacer un zumbido muy fuerte y al cuarto día se quemó y dejó de funcionar. Quedó tan mal que ni siquiera me lo pude traer de regreso en el avión para devolverlo. Y por poco y provoca un incendio.

Lo tuvimos que regresar. Lo compramos para un viaje a Perú pero al momento de conectarlo hacía un ruido muy fuerte, como una especie de ventilador y los celulares nunca se cargaron.Tuvimos que comprar otro directamente en Perú que sí funcionó.

Used this on a 3 week trip to Peru. I tested it at home first on 110v and it worked great, then it did exactly what it was supposed to in Peru. I don’t like the design of others that has removable adapter prongs, as it is more to lose. This has them built in for different plug types which was practical in Peru with 2 different plugs found throughout the country, and it was a mis of 110v and 220v depending on the places we were staying.

BESTEK Voltage Converter worked well for us on our recent visit to St. Kitts. We charged our power banks with it and used those to charge our phones. Out of an abundance of caution, we did not charge our phones directly. This voltage converter had all the built-in adapters we needed to plug it into the outlets. It is compact and easily carried in our carry-on back packs.

Used this in 4 different countries while traveling for a few months with no problems with charging through any the device's ports or connecting to various international outlets. I would say that I do have some questions about its power to convert, I used a heating pad that would work for some time while connected, but then would start blinking without giving any heat. Would unplug and replug to get it to work.Overall, I'm happy with the device and will keep using it during my travels.
